Fika is a cultural and social institution in Sweden and something you shouldn’t miss. It’s a coffee break, often combined with cookies, pastries, or cake. If you don’t want coffee, you can have tea, soft drinks or hot cocoa. Sit down for a while and take a break at one of Sigtuna’s genuine and cosy cafés and try a classic cinnamon - or cardamom bun, or a couple of homemade cookies. In the summertime, you can relax at one of Sigtuna’s many terraces and pavement cafés. If you want to treat yourself to a little luxury, classic Afternoon tea is served in several places.

At Märsta Center you can find cafés and restaurants open both for lunch and in the evening. At Stockholm Arlanda Airport there is a wide range of places where you can both eat and fika.

Tant Brun Kaffestuga

This traditional café is close to world famous. It is situated in the oldest wooden house in Sigtuna and the building may have its origins in the 17th century. Here you can find newly baked bread from our own bakery, and a wide variety of sandwiches and pastries. Tant Bruns Kaffestuga is one of the oldest cafés in Sweden and offers a unique historic setting, with a cosy garden.

Strandvillan’s Café

Strandvillan’s Café is situated at Sigtuna’s beautiful promenade with a gorgeous view over Mälaren and a lush garden. Strandvillan offers a varied menu and one of our delicious specialties is the shrimp sandwich with hand-peeled shrimp. During summer you can enjoy a fika in the lovely garden or ice cream from the ice cream shed.

Båthuset Krog & Bar

Securely moored at the steamboat pier, with a fantastic view over Sigtunafjärden, you will find Sigtuna’s familiar and inviting neighbourhood restaurant. We focus on the quality, origin and season of our ingredients, in order to create a delicious and sustainable meal, caring for animals, nature and the coming generation.

1909 Sigtuna Stadshotell

Restaurant 1909 in Sigtuna specializes in classic Swedish cuisine where by only the best seasonal ingredients are used, often sourced from the surrounding rich farming district. We create clean tastes that allow each ingredient to blossom in its purest form. The restaurant also has a well-stocked and carefully sourced wine cellar, and its own bakery that serves freshly-baked bread, home-made marmalade, pastries and Afternoon Tea.

Cicciotto

Cicciotto is an Italian restaurant in central Sigtuna town offering a variety of Italian flavours. Here you can find Neapolitan pizza, pasta, and charcuterie to take away or to enjoy in our welcoming restaurant, inspired by a lively Mediterranean atmosphere.

Bistro Valvet

We are a bar and restaurant in central Sigtuna. We offer our guests everything from hot lunches and home-made pastries to the town's largest salad bar. You can of course always order from our bistro menu as well. The inspiration for our dishes comes from Sweden and from different parts of the world. In our bar you will find a wide range of flavors.

Viby By Café at Pelle & Marie’s

Viby village is an old crofter’s homestead and is preserved by the Swedish Heritage Board. At this unique historic environment, you can enjoy peace and quiet, excellent fika and say hello to the animals. Pelle & Marie’s café is open Thur-Sat. On Fridays, master baker Pelle bakes bread and buns, which you can buy and enjoy at home. Welcome!

Herresta Lada

During several Sundays over the year, we are happy to open the doors to our cosy organic café. You are warmly welcome to enjoy homemade sandwiches, waffles and pastries in our peaceful countryside setting and beautiful garden. We also have a small gift shop with exhibitions by artisans.

Österby Farm Café

Mini-café on the countryside. Österby farm is situated a few kilometres outside Sigtuna town. In the farm shop you will find products from Österby, as well as other locally produced products. There is a small café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee together with homemade pastries and cookies. During summer, ice-cream is available. You can also meet rabbits and hens who live on the farm.

Våfflan Hamnkorg & Bar

Våfflan has the best location in Sigtuna during summer. It is situated at the old steamboat pier and can be reached as easily by foot, bicycle or boat. You can enjoy nine different delicious waffles, from roe or Skagen mixture to strawberries with custard. There are also other classic dishes, and everything is served with a smile.

Wenngarn Bakery Brödbod is a branch of the popular Wenngarn Bakery & Café. Wenngarn focuses on the traditional craft of baking. Everything is made with organic flour, butter and eggs, combined with beautiful aesthetics, creating irresistible products. You will find the Brödbod in Långgränd in Sigtuna town. There is also a cosy café.

Farbror Blå Bar & Matsal

Farbror Blå Bar & Matsal is located on Stora torget next to the Town Hall in Sigtuna. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch. In the evening there is an à la carte menu, including a tip of the day. There is a pleasant terrace well-situated on Stora torget.
